The Scientific Approach to Hair Sculpture was first released in 1980, and since that time has set an industry standard for high quality hair cutting education. Pivot Point's philosophy of education is based on concepts of art and science. That is why we refer to hair cutting as a sculptural art.

At Masters, hair cutting is referred to as hair sculpting, because cutting the hair is considered a sculptural technique.  Just as a sculptor molds and carves clay into a work of art, so too does a hair designer shape a head of hair.  Only the tools and medium change.  Just like sculpting, painting, dance, music and architecture, hair design is an art form.
