Perm Design is one of the most valuable chemical services a designer can offer a client, but it is important to keep in mind that perming is a service to be offered in conjunction with other salon services.

Creative wrapping patterns and techniques will expand your options, and allow you to adapt your designs to individual clients.  Altering directions and/or manipulating design principles can provide your clients with greater styling versatility.  We classify texture as straight, wavy, curly, and angular.  Although designers work with many natural textures, in this course, texture is added through perming, or chemical reformation. Perming effects include, volume, directional movement, and surface texture.  Texture expands the silhouette of the form and creates the illusion of shorter lengths.
